Itinerary

  • Depart from Delhi
  • Head towards Auli.
  • Overnight journey in a tempo traveller.
  • Enroute, we will halt at Devprayag.
  • Reach Joshimath by evening, which is the base camp of Auli.
  • Check-in to your hotel, freshen up, and visit Narsingh Temple.
  • Overnight stay at Joshimath.
  • After breakfast at 7:00 A.M, check out from the hotel and head to Auli (approximately a 1-hour drive).
  • Enjoy and explore Auli.
  • Take a cable car ride for stunning views of the Himalayas.
  • Enjoy snow activities.
  • Return to your vehicle by 1:00 P.M and have lunch in Joshimath.
  • Depart at 2:00 P.M for Chopta for an overnight stay in camps.
  • Have breakfast in the morning at 7:00 A.M and start early for the Chopta-Tungnath-Chandrashila trek.
  • Reach Chopta and begin the trek to Tungnath.
  • Visit Tungnath Temple (the highest Shiva temple in the world).
  • Continue the trek to Chandrashila Peak for panoramic views.
  • Return from the trek for an overnight stay in Sari Village.
  • Wake up early in the morning at 6:00 A.M.
  • Have breakfast at 7:00 A.M and start your 2 km trek to Deoria Tal from Sari.
  • Descend back by 9:00 A.M.
  • Refresh, and at 10:00 A.M, check out from the hotel. Start your journey back to Rishikesh (approximately 8-9 hours drive).
  • During the journey, take a halt at Dhari Devi Temple and visit the beautiful temple built on the Alaknanda River.
  • Arrive in Rishikesh by 6:00 P.M and continue your journey to Delhi.
  • Comfortable stay in double, triple, and quad-sharing rooms in hygienic, sanitized hotels/tents.
  • 6 meals (3 breakfasts, 3 dinners).
  • All sightseeing mentioned in the itinerary.
  • AC transportation.
  • Bonfire and light music.
  • Tour coordinator.
  • Any personal expenses/adventure activities.
  • Anything not mentioned in the itinerary.
  • Any kind of entry tickets/fees.
  • Any meals/drinks other than those included.
  • 5% GST.

What are the best times to visit Auli and Chopta?

The best time to visit Auli and Chopta is from March to June and September to November. During these months, the weather is pleasant, and the trekking trails are accessible. Winter (December to February) can be extremely cold but offers stunning snow-covered landscapes.

How do I reach Auli and Chopta?

To reach Auli, you can take a flight to Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun and then drive to Auli via Joshimath. Alternatively, you can take a train to Rishikesh or Haridwar and continue by road. For Chopta, you can reach via Rudraprayag or Ukhimath, with the nearest railway station being Rishikesh and the closest airport at Jolly Grant in Dehradun.
