This wonderful place offers a large scale tourism for its green forest and grassland. Surrounded by the attractive snow-covered hills of the Himalayas, this hill station is situated on the upper hills of Kumaon at an elevation of 1869 meters above sea level.

Located 60 km from Nainital and 50 km from Almora town, Ranikhet offers the opportunity to rest between green pine, oak and pine forests. The travelers can see various species of animals such as leopard, cockroach, sambhar, leopard cat, hill goat, Indian rabbit, red mouth monkey, pine mongoose, jackal, red fox, langur and porcupine in the forests. 1). Ranikhet Himalayan Railway, Ranikhet

Rani Lake is a huge lake, which has been artificially developed by the cantonment board for the purpose of rain water harvesting. Situated between two natural lines of Kendriya Vidyalaya and Kenosha Convent School, it is a popular tourist spot of Ranikhet. The lake is situated at an altitude of 7500 feet above sea level and is an ideal place to enjoy boating.

2) Jhula Devi Temple, Ranikhet

Jhula Devi Temple, also known as Jhula Devi Temple, is a popular religious place, located 7 km from Ranikhet city. This is dedicated to Hindu Goddess Durga. This temple was built in the 8th century. According to Hindu mythology, this temple was built on the purpose of maintaining the grace of Goddess Durga on wild animals living in this place.

It is believed that Goddess Durga appeared in a dream of a shepherd and diged it here and advised to remove his statue. This temple is situated right in the place where the idol was found. The sacred bells are beautifully carved in the temple, and the sounds of these bells are heard clearly from a distance.

3). Golf Course, Ranikhet

The golf course is a famous tourist spot located in Ranikhet. While offering a membership plan for outsiders, it is the second largest golf course in India with 9 potholes.

4). Mountain Biking, Ranikhet
